Rotary Global Scholarships
My name is Haida Passos and I am the District’s Chair of the Global Grants Scholarship Subcommittee.
The District is seeking to support an individual who wishes to commence in 2017 graduate-level study overseas in one of Rotary’s six areas of focus:
- Basic education and literacy
- Disease prevention and treatment
- Economic and community development
- Maternal and child health
- Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
- Water and sanitation.
I write to ask for your help in publicising, identifying and encouraging suitable individuals to apply.
The District’s generous scholarship is in the amount of US$30,000 and is open to non-Rotarians, preferably who reside, work or study in our district.

As the successful scholar will be expected to have a knowledge of Rotary and to have participated in Rotary activities, please welcome potential applicants who approach your club for support in this aim. Clubs may support more than one applicant.
